Pretty sure I've seen it in the flesh but it had advertising decals on it too at the time. Certainly caught my eye. Not to my taste though.

Interesting car. It must be the in thing now to have a custom bonnet.

Pretty much my thoughts too. I don't mind it too much - the paint that is, The bonnet is a bit ordinary though - a shaker sitting in between the vents might help with the whole look though.!

what an abortion of an AU. :

deadset. there are people out there, that definately give the AU a bad name. thats not the first ive seen with the XB/C boonet scoops either. =S seriously, what are these people thinking when they make an already ugly car into that, or something worse. do they think they are improving it? whatever the **** they are smoking, they sure as hell better pass it to me.

It's still not as bad as any non-XR & non-T series AU. LOL.

why why why why why why why?
How can the owner of that honestly stand back and say... " that looks so nice " ?
Almost as bad as that white AU with the supra front with the same bonnet style. (not fuzmobil)

The person who did it obviously likes the ute, or at least did at one stage prior to wanting to sell it.

Is this thread nothing more than bashing someone else's idea of what they want in a car?

What's wrong with that? It's different, and still looks factory. Look closely at an XB bonnet next time and try and think of a good reason why it looks so much better. To me, they look very similar.

It's looks so much better on the xb, big and fat, the au is more of a sleek look I reckon. That's just my opinion.
