Pacemaker comps are the best for the VCT's too. Basically, as far as the I6's go, the pacie comps now rule the show, no question. I dumped my JMM Race headers for them and havent regretted it one bit.

they made some changes to the design recently and I have to say that I've been very impressed with them. Given they had some issues in the past on VCT's whatever they did (I cant remember the exact details but I can find out) seemed to tune them to the VCT's oddities very nicely.

I think you are right.. I think there may have been some "shaping" changes too but cant be sure. All I know is that they are one hell of a set and I'll recommend them to anyone.

Dont get to carried away with the new designs because bigger isnt always better. Ive heard of other people trying new sets and they found that the primaries made more power being slightly smaller than previous, but longer in length. But sounds good anyway...

Well a high flow cat is meant to resitrict the exhaust flow less than a standard. But i've read around the place that the standard cats arn't that bad.

Last time I checked, the difilippo's rule the show - the others are over half a second behind.

stick to the facts.

Chris - Are the AU's with the DiFilippo's standard apart from exhaust?

I have an AU XR6 HP motor and its quicker than 14.38...

I would fit a high flow cat. I just bought a new one, and i was given a standard one by mistake, and it looked very restrictive compared to a 2 1/2" high flow.

arent AUs heavier than ebs. I thought they were. So id assume your car with the same engine and mods is always going to be quicker.

I also dont think anyone has ever tried bolting different brand types of headers to their stock car to see wich was better. Every performance upgrade reacts in a different way to other upgrades...u cant just expect to bolt a whole heap of bits on an go fast u need stuff that works together.(but of course u can be lucky : ) From what i can see its a never ending battle...damn it :

just had a look on redbook...

Kerb weights..
AU XR6 HP: 1480kg
ED Futura: 1531kg

The ultimate test would be to try all of them, and have a strap down the qtr...

So the new u beaute ones are the PH4480's ?? I've got some Advance headers on at the moment, theyre ok. When i got them they had to stuff around with the cat and stuff i just wondering if the PH4480's will mate up with the cat? The exhaust is made to line up with the Advance headers at the moment.

the AU i am referring to has a stock cam, not sure where we will be heading to, i think at this stage a 14.3 with a stock cam and auto is right on the money.
