Is there a web site, or one of you out there that can tell me what an engine is, from the block casting number.
I know you can pay at accnab in the states, so without going to that, and ideas?? C8OE-6015A is the casting number. |

So that'd be a 1968 Fairlane motor.
I don't think you can tell the size of the motor without pulling it apart, to see how long the conrods are. But I've been wrong before! : |

Thanks guys, and to answer the question, yes, in relation to windsors, the casting number is indicitive of capacity. It also is in FE BB too, but seeing you can swap cranks etc easier in them, you may not be getting what the block says...
Thats right too sour, C8OE is all early 302's where C9OE is a 351. |
