You have also stumped the 'reverse google image' search function.
First result with the original picture says you have plywood. Second search I zoomed right into just the metal bit. Apparently google tells me the thing in the picture is called a... 'Parallel'... Good luck CB - looks like something out of an IKEA kit.

They’re the tapered end, parallel splined pins driven into a BA-BF steering column to secure the ignition switch. Small, plated steel items. I’m sure they wouldn’t be a proprietary FoMoCo part.
Just looking for a few spares to satisfy my urge to tinker. |

Note also that it is often better to swap from straight knurled to spiral/helical knurled and visa versa so they grip better if the hole they are going to be inserted into is the old one and unchanged.

Proton energy pill.
I've known them as knock pins or anti-vibration pins, designed to not come out once installed.Similar to a roll pin/split pin. |
