Default 2007 Radio Code

Hi,

I had to replace the battery and of course the radio/cd now needs a code. I phoned the local ford dealer and they wanted $20 and proof of id just for the code!

My VIN is: AFADXXMJDD7Y01295

If anyone can help or know of a friendly dealer that will help over the phone, that would be great.

Gary

From this link you can download software for generating codes for Ford radios
www.fastbysuzuki.talktalk.net/Ford%20Decoder.zip

ZIP file also contains instructions on how to generate the code, but you will need to know the model and the serial number of the radio.

Also, there are sites like
http://www.radio-code.lt
http://www.dndservices.co.uk/COD/
who will supply you the code online for a small fee.....

If you have the service manual, it will have the 4 digit code on a barcode on the front/back page.
