Hey guys, finally got around to doing a dodgy comparison shot of the OEM halogen headlights and the OEM HID ones on the LV Focus.
Both are using genuine parts, except globes, globes in Halogen are Phillips +100 55W and HIDs are 35W Osram CBI 5000K: Halogen: HID: BIG difference, as you can see, it doesn't look so pronounced in the photos but looking through your own eyes, there is massive difference, especially on the outer edges of the light, also look how clean the HID cutoff is, minimal light above where the headlights shine, which is good for oncoming drivers, it doesn't blind people at all compared to a dodgy aftermarket HID kit. |

Something all top end Ford's should have these day's, HID's.
Falcon and Territory should have HID's as standard on all top end vehicles IMO. |

Even halogen projectors, which are a step up from reflectors, have been around for a long time, and Ford only adopts them now with FG2 and new Territory (though I think DC LTDs had them). Unfortunately I had to retrofit mine, bought genuine Ford parts from Ford Europe, as it wasn't an option on our cars. |

Well it was standard on RS, but even the ST never got them here. Typical FoA unfortunately.
Id love a set but the cost IMO isnt worth it unless you come across a good second hand set.

Projectors with halogen globes were also used back in the 90's on the ED, EF and EL series XR6/8 falcons for the low beam lights.
