Default Automotive Deja Vu

Every now and then, a car comes out that seems to borrow from an-other's design...

Post up your best!

Not form the same manufacturer, like Opel Omega/Holden Commodore or Ford torino/Ford falcon etc

First:

Mitsubishi Outlander v's Peugeot 4007

Ferrari Daytona V's Rover SD1

Wow .. the Outlander and 4007 look literally identical ... either one of them looks like they were too lazy to really make changes to it.

Borrowed ! try blatantly ripped off . I think the link between the SD1 and Daytona is a bit tenuous though .

The Renault Fluence and Focus look nothing alike, compare the shape of the boot lid, the arc of
the rear roof frame and it's width shape around the rear door glass....and that just to start with...

the 4007 is a badge engineered Outlander - think Telstar/626

edit - too slow!!

Never thought of the Rover /Daytone though - they are freaky side by side

Maybe so, if you want to over-analyse it. Yet every time I see a Fluence on the road, I do a double-take thinking it's a Focus.

Celica and 1970 Mustang, there was one model that was a total ripoff of it. TA22?

RA28 is the one that looks most like the Mustang.
The SR20 Turbo makes a great conversion for them.
I however love the sound of them with the twin webbers.

No, I'm not over analysing, it's the small details that makes the cars different.

That's because it pretty much was.

Just like the Lotus Carlton/Omega are based off the VN Commodore of the time.

Serious ???? You do know that the Lexcen was simply a rebadged Commodore (ie shared model between Holden/Toyota).
