Got rid of the dash mat on my BF and noticed the dash pad looked discoulored and dull. Armour all only hid it for a couple of weeks. The "grain" of the dash seems fine, it just looks dirty.
Any advice on how to cure this would be great? |

Use an all purpose cleaner watered down about 4:1 and use a soft brush or a used green kitchen sponge to do the cleaning and then when done dress and protect with 303 aerospace protectant.

I have not used Armour all since about 1989, get some proper detailing products and it should be fine, something like Maguires or Auto Glym will do the job and it should be fine.
Try Maguires 'Ultimate Protectant Dash & Trim Restorer' or Maguires 'Classic Shine Protectant' (I have both in my garage), another one I have used is Auto Glym and Mothers, both seemed to be good, but still prefer Maguires personally as it seems to perform better and last longer than any of the others. |

Try warm soapy water and rinse well and dry this may take several goes to get the crap out of the vinyl. Then use Mothers or Maguires.

The Meguires products do clean, but they also have a product called 'Cloth & Trim Cleaner', works great as well, but may be try soap and hot water first before spending more $$$. If there is residue from double sided tale a clean rag with some prepsol will clean that off, but don't over do it.
Mild cleaners first and then get more aggressive if you do not have any success. Any photos of the problem area?? |

It may be permanently discoloured by chemicals leaching from the mat, in the heat.
Try the cleaners. If they doesn't work, it may need to be recoloured |

I find sugarsoap the best thing to clean the interior with mate, Use the spray bottle of it and see how that goes. test in a small area, blah blah..... All my cars are old but it takes all the dirt and grime off very well even on my land cruiser
