As per a previous post. I'm looking at installing some WRC style air vents into my bonnet to get more ventillation going. However I can't seem to find anyone local or overseas who sell WRC style vents or the full carbon fiber bonnet for the LS. Just wondering if anybody had any suggestions?

Are you a member over at www.fordxr5turbo.com ?
There's a member with the handle "Luketrix" who's doing his own carbon fibre stuff. He does it professionaly too (as far as I understand) so it's not some bodgy job. Might be worth investigating.

Found this one but no price.
http://www.car-bodykit.com/sdp/22849...nnet_hood.html Couple of different vent options as well. Pumaspeed do one as well but its a bit pricey. |

Even contact M-Sport and see what arm and leg you will need to sell to buy one

The RS ones are nice, but no i want the wrc ones as per the pic above. I think they would be more effective as cooling the engine bay. I think they look meaner as well.
Thansk for the suggestions tho.... M-Sport website down at the moment. Will check back later. I spied the wrc rear spolier for sale tho. almost tempted tho might be hard trying to convince the authorities that i can see the cars behind me. lol

Steve I think the bonnets are ever so slightly different between the LV and the LS/LT so I don't think it'll fit.

Yep that's right. The RS bonnet has the LV headlamp and front grill shapes to cater for, so they won't fit on Simon's car.

Zetec,
Think you're able to find one of your photos from the WRC that shows how intricate a set-up the WRC bonnet is and post it for us to study? And I too would like an RS (a full-scale one at least).

Out of pure curiosity simon......with your engine beeing stock and all will you be expecting to see the vents cool the engine down and improve performance...or are you more leaning to the wrc mod look?

Yes my engine is stock but that will not always be. In the future I will desperatly need the extra cooling or i may be risking the block seeing at the duratec is only aluminimun and not as good as the zetec.
I like the look as well. thinking of completing the aftermarket body kit and combining it with the rs spoiler and the wrc bonnet. sticking with the existing wheels and colour combo.

best of luck simon, by the site they say minimum order is 10 sets.
hell why stop at the bonnet, the WRC cars are outdated now due to new regulations next year, just buy a complete car, paint it blue & wack some ott's on it & you have a sweet ride
