Im having a bit of a working bee tomorow, if anyone on here wants to come around for a BBQ, and work on some AU's, maybe we can all teach each other some stuff, or if you have a mod that needs doing and we get time to do it, fell free to PM me and I will send through my address.
Please dont feel threatened coming, we are all nice guys and gals with a wicked sense of humour (maybe thats just me). So come around, even just call in and say G'day, there might even be some cake for my birthday (which is on Monday, hint hint). Some of the work we are doing includes a fuel filter, new cam, some flash tuner stuff, advancing, retarding cams, topping up transmission, finding and fixing exhaust leaks, etc, if you want to learn how to do these things, then come around and learn. Well thats it, if your here your here, if your not, maybe another time. Josh

7th November, next Saturday (depending if anything changes) Im doing another cam swap.
The car is just too mellow, I miss the big rush of torque in the midrange and the way it willing revs to 6200rpm, and the fuel savings arent anything great. Im going to try and run a bit of 95ron E10 when the big cam goes back in, and see if it likes it or not. So again, if anyone is keen to see how this is done, let me know, and you can come around and watch and help. Ill shout the bbq again, like usual. Josh

Damm it i travelled down to be a roadie for my nephew drummer, came down from Toowoomba to Ipswich then Northgate, CBD back to Northgate then CBD then Ipswich then home again, Plays with Leadlight Rose. First drive out of town with the lowered ***, scraped my stainless tip once. Good alround trip, cost me 45 in juice but didnt check the k's. Most was peak hour and the Toowoomba range was all but closed. Alternative route and stretched out the wags legs. Maybe next time.

I cant commit that I'll make it, I need to get the AU drivable so I can take it to someone to get it fixed. If I get the car done saturday I might drop by.
Those chicken rissoles might make an appearance again

Well, I got bored, so I put the old cam back in last night. Not all went to plan, as the rocker gear bolts have been in and out a few times. First one i went to tighten, thought, this is getting a little tough, torque wrench should have registered by now.... Snap.
Clean off in the head, lol. We got it out after a little stuffing around, went to a wrecker this morning and picked out some more, checked the torque wrench....30ftlb of torque, lol, instead of 20. So let this be a lesson. Use new rocker gear bolts if you can, and always check your torque wrench, lol.

You should always wind your torque wrench back to zero and leave the lock off when its in storage.

Dammit, you always have these little gatherings when I have something on. Most weekends for me are spent sitting around bored shirtless. The one weekend that I'm booked, is the one weekend theres garunteed to be something on.
On the other hand, I should have my complete exhaust fitted in the next fortnight, so I should be able to show that off at some point soon.
