Eastlink Opens: June 29th 2008

Hey guys, i just saw on The news That The Eastlink finally opens June, 29th,2008 , 5 Months early , finally , the government have said the Eastlink will be free for a month, then the tolls start, ill just be happy when it opened with all the roadworks are finally gone, thats going on for ages now, i probably will go on eastlink and i will have to get etag for mycar.

Wrong sectiion - Please Move to THE PUB

The roadworks were done months ago - the only thing that might make it a roadwork area is the plastic bollards blocking off the on and off ramps and turn lanes. No-ones been actually working on the roads. There's no reason for roadwork speed limits as there is no longer any works being done on the roads intersecting Eastlink! It's been going on for 3 bloody years and it's time we got our roads back to normal.

some parts are still being done, such as the intersection at the end of the eastern (start of eastlink) and springvale road

Thank god. I went down to Rosebud to see the folks for mothers day, Took an hour to get from where the kodak track begins to where it ends. Springvale rd man I hate it won't miss the thing one bit.
