There is something in the owner's manual about the correct type of snow chains.

If your running steel wheels, most 15" chains should be ok so long as they are fitted properly. Take off the hubcaps and leave them at home I recon.

i fit chains to my 02 focus and i have 17in rims on it. The ford manual says you SHOULD NOT fit chains under any circumstances to that model but i do and have never had a problem, Im at falls creek twice a week also.
