Sound like the car telling you to put on your seat belt. I Know my focus does it, and I think my falcon does it as well. Not sure on the AU.

I thought it may be the airbag, but an error is 5 groups of 5 short beeps!

I'll keep looking at the manual to see if I can nut it out!

BTW, what series car and model is it? Eg S2 Futura. S1 Forte, S3 Fairmont.

You're probably under 80klms DTE
either that or you have a door open/no seatbelt on

That would be right, if it was 3 x 4 beeps. Both my AU's do it. Does it again at 40kays and again at 20kays!

Mine beeps at me ... but the thing is it thinks the car is moving with the handbrake is on .... in Park and handbrake on just after starting the speedo will go from 10-20km/h and keep fluctuating .... and I get the cluster beeping at me.

Funny thing is ... the car isn't moving at all.

Gremlins.

It's it's airbag ... you'd be getting your airbag light flashing a code.
