Hi all.
I went down to Phillip Island today to watch the CAMS Australian Motorsport Championships. It was a great day to be a ford fan. A GT won the GTP race in front of a HSV and an EVO (and everything else) An Xr6 turbo and an XR8 came one/two in the production car race ahead of SS commodores (including a 6ltr) and a BMW 130i. The ford boys did us proud...and the best part was my brother is an EVO fan and my mate is a HSV fan.... :hihi:

I watched similar races last year and the ford boys have come a long way since then. The BAs still appeared to be stuggling for a bit of mid corner speed in the tight corners, but in a straight line and in the fast sweepers they were rocketing along.

Good to see you supporting this class of racing. Went down on Friday for a spin around the track in one of the utes. Must say was good fun.........problem being I was in a Commo, but at least if I was going to soil myself it was going to be in a holden!!!!

Damit I was going to go today too, I heard it was "old historical" type cars so I didn't worry about it...

Yeah I had a great time...I really like this form of motorsport as it gives you an idea of how a car you might be able to afford will go on the track.
I think this was the only round held in Victoria this year, I think there is 4 in NSW...
