just signed up to World of Warcraft the other day on my mates guest pass.
its my first MMORPG, i'm not a fan of "pay to play" online games but the prepaid game cards you can buy are alright. this game is pretty addictive, anyone else here play?

Used to last year, i got over it reasonably quickly though.
Its not to bad though it was the first MMORPG i played and considering im not an RPG fan, i though it was OK.

Ive played a lot of MMO's including the original Everquest, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft and alot of other smaller ones. World of Warcraft is generally considered to be "MMO Lite" as in its very easy to play and progress your character etc. The one major problem is the fact that ALOT of really immature american teens play the game and talk alot of stupid crap in the chat channels.
That said, WoW is the game me and my mates used to play when we burnt out on the more involved games and were taking a break and it definately is fun. The only problem with these kinds of games is the amount of time they can end up consuming. I dont play anymore but when i did i lived with a mate who also played and it wasnt uncommon for us to get home from work on Friday and next thing we know its 3am Monday morning and we have to be up in 3 hrs. 2-3am knock off's every weeknight really take it out of you too. Very fun but very addictive games. |

Pretty Addictive alright - been paying for a bit over 6 months, never thought I would get into it and kept rejecting the idea of playing it until my mate got me a trial account and I was hooked.
- Im on Moonrunner, pst Dziganth if your on to say hi.

my mates and I just gave EVE online a go.
Great graphics!...8/10 Missions...6/10...You need to do them in Co-op for more fun factor Storyline...5/10...Not enough of one and you cant follow it by choice...it just appears at certain times during gameplay.

Ummm NO!
I have better things to do than kill half my day playing in a geek fest. And what irks me even more is that to play online, you not only have to buy the game, you have to buy access passes too. That is so stooooopid. |

I've been playing for a couple of weeks. Lvl 17, Night Elf,Rogue :Reverend:
Having to pay per month is to pay for the bandwidth costs and for the updates they give. Although its a little poor of Blizzard to then bring out an expansion pack and expect people who pay each month to buy it. |

A friend plays between 120 - 130 hours of World of Warcraft. He quit his job, dropped out from the conseratorium of music to keep playing.

I have avoided it as I've seen how much of your life it takes away.
I have a friend to who started playing. It's consumed him. No thanks. |

I quite enjoy it.. tho granted i'm one who flits from game to game (recently re-installed half life 2). However I was strongly against WoW untill i actually installed the demo then i really started to enjoy it.
I was a old school diablo player.. Diablo 1, Diablo 2 + expansion = many many many hours in front of monitor. If you wanna hook up, i'm on "frostmourne" l8r. |

My younger brother is hooked on it.
Pulls plenty of all nighters & all weekenders. He said he could probably sell his account for US$500 but wouldn't as he's spent to much time on it. On ebay they got for thousands if the hours (or months) have been put into achieving whatever it is that game sets out to achieve. |
