This one sold for $8K last weekend
https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotD...11&lid=3292324 This one sold for $870 at the same auction https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotD...11&lid=3288359 So yours is probably somewhere in the middle.

Plenty or people around 40 or so are after them. They rode around in the back of them as kids or their uncle had one etc. I am biased, but the are one of the best. Definitely not a scrapper. Take it to an auction or run an on farm auction if there is enough stuff there.

Back home to Adelaide on Monday so thought I'd better get around to putting some sort of ad online for my old man. Ended up just using gumtree as ebay want a fair portion of the sale price if the ad/auction is successful. Would appreciate any feedback if there is something I should add in the description or any other info that may be helpful.

Everything seems to sell on Facebook Marketplace these days. That it's a factory V8 is a huge selling point. Mother in Law just sold her pretty immaculate 84 EFI 6 Cylinder Fairlane to her oldest son for insurance value , $3500. Same model with a V8 have seen advertised for $30k.........

My phone started beeping literally 10min after the ad went live.
The family and I went out. Got a call whilst out from someone wanting a look. Called my old man to make sure he'd be home and then sent the address to the caller. An hour later it's sold. The guy waved cash in front of my dad and he decided he'd rather have his shed space back than play the long game. He rang me and I said it was his call but given the interest it might be better to wait for a better offer. He's not really in to haggling so by the time I got home it was a done deal. The guy that bought it was a panel beater and has his own tilt tray. Picking it up tomorrow morning. This experience has really highlighted how out of touch I am with the whole car restoration thing. I would have taken it to scrap. I guess grandpa's old car will live to fight another day.
