I was driving around yesterday, just putting around after going shopping when I pulled up at traffic lights, foot on the clutch and brake, my car idled right down then up to 1400rpm then down and I say I my foot on the accelerator to a teeny bit hoping it wouldn't stall. Anyone got any thoughts on it, 1st time it's done it and it only done 6000km

sounds like crook sensor or problems with the throttle electronics as its a bit to new for a dirty throttle body

I'm having the same issue with mine....have it booked with the dealer this week. Also had it stall a few times when pulling up and depressing the clutch.

Don't know if this is your exact problem or not but it would appear you are not alone :(
http://www.focusst.org/forum/focus-s...e-stall-3.html Found a similar thread on another O/S forum and again replacement of part of the engine wiring harness was mentioned as resolving the issue http://fordstnation.com/focus-st-per...talling-3.html |

Would be interested to know how things went with the dealer......I took mine in yesterday and typically, they could not replicate the issues I was having. They did some software updates and so far it seems OK. The only thing is the idle increasing when you depress the clutch (when the car is stopped) before selecting first gear. I'm not sure if you are having the same issues??
