Hi.
Today I bought a 2009 TDCI focus. very excited I pick it up on thursday. everything about the car is great except one thing. The stereo. I listen to all my music through my phone (galaxy S2 with Spotify). as the focus does not have an AUX or bluetooth I now need to replace the stereo or find a way of adding bluetooth. is there a way of replacing the stock unit with aftermarket? looks like it is not a standard din / double din? or is there a way I can add bluetooth capabilities to the stock unit? I think this may be possible as I think I remember this model being available with stock bluetooth and phone buttons. I would like to keep the functionality of my steering wheel buttons if possible. Would Ford possibly be able to help me? thanks |

I use the Ford ipod cable plugged into that with a "The Auris" which gives me Bluetooth hands free and apt-x streaming audio through the head unit. |

i looked pretty hard.
i found a pic of the console of the exact same model here for an example. given that this was something i very much require it was not a simple glace. really do not want to go the radio transmitter route. |

I believe if it's an LV version 2 it is there and LS, LT and LV are in the glovebox

thanks for the help. I look in both the centre console and glovebox for possible connectors. but I could not find any. for those it was a quick look so I will check agin when I get the car.
If there is an Aux my problem would be solved. I got quoted 1245 to have the stereo replced with a double DIN stereo LCD screen and matching facia. dont really want to spend that kind of cash. |

I got a very late December 09 focus. If you open the glove box it's just below the top edge lip a bit to the right of centre. In a little recess, just a 3.5mm hole with a grey plastic surround so hopefully it's there.

I think it might be a scam. The only thing that seller has sold is cigarette lighters and a 3.5mm audio adapter cable. I reckon someone's comprised his account and started advertising these things.

I saw these, if you're one of about 20 people that bought them for that price I think you will be disappointed as it's highly unlikely the seller will honour the deal (as marg99 said it must have been an error with the price) I purchased a similar item a few weeks back for $360 delivered. The seller then reneged on the deal and I had to wait nearly 10 working days for a refund to come through :(

I have found the AUX. It wa in the glove box as shown. Talk about a huge design flaw. I now have my AUX cable hanging out of the glovebox.
apart from that I love my new focus. so completely different to my old AU falcon. the turbo diesel is fun. Today I started using the sports mode. it takes a little getting used to but I think i will get it. Markh - given it is so cheap I have gone and bought one. if it never comes I will claim through ebay and pay pal. looks like it could be a great upgrade for the focus. especially if it can allow me to keep the steering wheel functionality. will be sure to start a thread once it is received..... I guess it is prepare for the worst hope for the best.... |

looks like the correct price for these things is around 470.
They are very cool. if this $ 22 one ends up being a scam I think I will fork out for one. |
