I think the Mythbusters used a hand-held laser one, I guess that makes a difference.

I believe the redlight camera only goes off if you cross the first line when it's red. If you're already over it when it goes red, it ignores you.

Motorway Patrol was great as they used to stake out in a known speeding freeway offramp and then radio ahead to division cars waiting, which would pull them over. Sometimes the drivers lost control of their cars and the camera caught it all.

Then the little boys would get pulled over, climb out of their hotted up Toyotas and Hondas and be just little boys with daggy pants, and they don't say much as their car gets towed away and they have some expensive paperwork.

The epsiode of Mythbusters you are talking about did use the hand held laser. But they were not trying to prove the highest speed in which you can't be caught at. They were using different materials which supposibly could give the radar a different reading. They used cd's and other niifty objects.

But if you want to get away with fines and all, slap on a set of old numberplates which are unregistered. Or do your best to keep within the laws so your not forced to be paying fines. Just if 10% tolerance was still round :. My speed is 4km/h slow, so how was i supposed to know initially when i bought the blasted thing whether or not my car falls within the 3km limit?

Stupid rules and regulations.

Here’s one of them. A genuine 170 MPH supercar. Capable of hosing Enzo’s, McLaren F1’s and anything with a NISM sticker on it. :hihi:

Cheers, Danny

Done a high speed run in my car while in "MEXICO", limited to 245k's and it was smooth as for the good minute i sat on that speed. That was when it was stock, with a fair bit more grunt on board and a deleted speed limiter i dont see why mine couldn't reach 28ok's.

In Saying that im not going to go find a speed camera and have a go at it, well not till the brembo's go on anyway. And yes that guy did get caught doing 228kph in the M5 tunnel. Done it 5 days in a row at about 3am and dogded a few police road blocks but some how ended up getting caught.
