Howdy folks, just got myself a TV tuner card. It's just a cheapo $97 DSE card and I have a couple of Q's. First off, I can't get the remote to work. I don't know what to do, there's no drivers and the computer just doesn't seem to give a toss that the thing is even plugged in. Second, I'm using software called TVR, and when I record I can't seem to record the sound. Any ideas?

Only thing i can recommend without knowing your computer specs is doing a internet search for drivers for your card, sounds like you dont have any installed

I have installed the drivers that came on the CD. The card plays fine and records video well, just doesn't record sound. The remote thing is annoying but not major, I'm usually close enough to change channels with a mouse.

Ah I sussed out the sound problem, I moved the audio out cable (tuner card -> sound card) into the Mic port, seems it won't record sound through the Line In port for some reason. Now it's only the remote issue to sort.

ur sound problem is a platform one not a software one,
in windows u go to ur usual volume controls then options-->properties then click recording and ok that gives you a heap of new controls including where your ment to be recording from, also change back to line in as you will get much better sound quality from there

On my other computer I had the same problem, on the software cd there should be a seperate remote program that loads to the system tray.
Does the IR sensor plug into the TV card? |
