Default Power steering fluid

Car is a 1999 AU1 XR6
I dont have a handbook and search button was useless.

What fluid do I get??

there is one, I think it is castrol, and it has a picture of an AU on it. For that reason I use it.

has to ba synthetic type p/s oil aswell otherwise you will have pump and rack problems

I just found a bottle of p/s fluid in the garage, my dad used it in his au xr8.
On the bottle it says its for ford vehicles 1985 or something up.

dont use DXIII on the AU P/S use and agri type fluid (ie Mobile1 Agri)

Mobilfluid 424 as mentioned above. You can find it at Mobil service stations as thats where I buy mine for my leaking car.

yep i got some from supa-cheap IIRC it's red bottle red au xr on the label. is speciffically for ef- au falcons.

Penrite make one that matches all the specfications listed by Ford, can be mixed with other fluids too. Comes in a black bottle.
