10 sec car for $4500

i just seen the bloke down the road tonight(walking past my place)and i asked him about his torana.he said he just sold it 4 days ago for $4500.i asked his cousin awhile ago about his torana and he said if i had $8500 i could have it.i couldn't get $8500 because im buying a house,but $4500 i would have gone to the bank straight away.anyway i'll tell you what it was like.

it was an slr 5000 look alike without the flairs
308 standard stroke cutting 10.4's with nos and 11.4's with out
mind you this car has been a feature car in mags 7 years ago

im kicking myself but hey thems the breaks

yea not sure i know it, probably if i seen it i would recognise it... Sounds like you missed a bargin, then again it's a turdrunna (torana) and i'd have to be hell desperate to by a fast car to buy one of those things

he took it up to the ingham car show when it was at the old cricket grounds i believe.its orangey with the bottom of the car black with the slr in it

nah not for me.....a 10sec cortina is more unique than a 10sec torrie....theres heaps of them.....my mate building one at the moment....tc 2 door with 302...noice

I would like to actually see it do this supposed 10 seconds before I handed over the $4500k. simply because that sound waay to cheap for a 10 second car, and there is no such thing as a free lunch.

unless theres something dodgy involved... maybe someone elses block they worked hard for? and now its been swapped andf theyre getting rid of everything... who knows... might be legit, but you cant trust anyone these days...

hes an old mate that lives down the road and yes i have seen it do an 10.7 pass.i was over his house years ago when it arrived.i have seen the mag articles and pictures(i cannot remember what mag,good one but)he bought the car for $13000 back then and the previous owner managed a best time of 10.4(mind you that was in victoria and were up here in townsville).

and i dont know why its so hard to believe when i sold my hj gts 2 door monaro 7 years ago for $4000(500 hp 400 chev,high 11's)i was hard up for cash and it was either sell the car or go to jail(but thats another story).
