Are there any specific aftermarket head units that can be integrated with the volume buttons on the steering wheel on the AU? Anyone sucessfully accomplished this?
Cheers.. |

Most can, but you gotta pay for it.
I got an Alpine 9831 in mine which is upper end Alpine gear, and the adapter cost $200. So I didnt bother. Plus, I much prefer the Remote |

I was told it couldnt be done by a guy at Autobarn, probably didnt want the extra hassle of hooking it up

it can be done and there are modules for most makes of head units.
http://www.lightningaudio.com/2004/p...asp?prodID=576 is just one for example. any reputable audio dealer will have them and know of them. Last edited by Kryton; 21-04-2005 at 12:26 PM. |

Will the remote still work if I hook up the volume buttons on the steering wheel?

Stinger have an adapter, for Pioneer models to connect to the controls. Costs $140 from some Autobahn stores.
