Right guys... sorry about the delay in getting this up on the web... i created it back in December, but have more or less been away from the computer since then... gotta love the summer!
This BBQ looks to be awesome, i reckon we might get 50 or more AU's along. Im out in Eltham area for anyone whos interested in cruising there... i know i am... even if your in a suburb nearby... i don't mind driving to meet a bunch of AU's!

Bell St Maccas could be perfect. We'd have to choose a route there that's along some nice roads so we dont get too stuffed around by traffic lights etc... maybe through Heidelberg, up the eastern Freeway, then down Punt Rd through to Albert Park? Either way, im up for a bit of a cruise there.

Its going to be a ripper guys.
For the Bell St Maccas group, i agree that down St Georges, Punt and Toorak Rd is 'easier', but if we got an hour to spare (leaving Maccas at 11:00am) i think we'll have a much better drive down to heidelberg on Bell St (3 lanes, perfect for cruising), on to Bourke Rd, then up the Eastern Freeway (5 lanes!) then onto Punt Rd (4 lanes) and down Toorak Rd. It'd still only take us around 30 mins on a Sunday and still get us there well before 12:00... plus there is way less chance of us getting stuck at all the traffic lights and red arrows we'd have to face going down High or St Georges... i reckon the traffic would split us all up... defeating the cruise :( Anyway, thought id just put it forward so we can have a solid fun cruise all the way there before we park the cars for the arvo. What do you guys think? Look forward to it!

Bucky and Blueprint... Yeah if you guys are out that way also, then the more the merrier, id still say Bell St McDonalds is a good spot to meet. But let us know where your hotel is and we can work out something. A few of us are North East moreso than stricktly North of the city, so Bell St is good, but im always open for suggestions. And lets be honest, we love our cars, so im sure none of us mind driving a little further if need be for a cruise! I know i don't ;)

As promised, some more details.
Earlier today I received a PM from an AFF member offering to support the aufalcon.com BBQ day with some prizes. These prizes are from Purolator filters. For those of you who haven’t heard of Purolator, they have been manufacturing, marketing and distributing in the USA since 1923 so they know what’s going on. OE to Mazda, Ford, Nissan, Chrysler etc they also are the manufacturers of all Motorcraft branded products for FordUSA. I personally have been using their oil filters for a while now and I simply refuse to use anything else. Even the old EF wagon has a Purolater filter on it now. (For the record, Purolater comes from “Pure Oil Later”…. its on the website!) Anyhow, the prizes that are now added to the list of all the other goodies we have organized are: Best overall AU V8 Looks and Performance – Polo Shirt, Oil Filter and Air Filter Best overall AU I6 Looks and Performance – Polo Shirt, Oil Filter and Air Filter Best Sounding AU V8 – Polo Shirt, Oil Filter and Air Filter Best Sounding AU I6 – Polo Shirt, Oil Filter and Air Filter Most unusual modification AU V8 - Oil Filter and Air Filter Most unusual modification AU I6 - Oil Filter and Air Filter Most stock AU V8 – Oil Filter and Air Filter Most stock AU I6 – Oil Filter and Air Filter Longest distance traveled – Polo Shirt, Oil Filter and Air Filter Hard Luck award – Polo Shirt, Oil Filter and Air Filter Judges? Yet to be determined but I suspect a number of mods/admins will get roped in. Big thanks to Purolator Filters for the support.
