So what's your general problem with post 9?
I'm really curious now...

Probably too factual, and told the truth rather than the crap that Mr Dowling sprouts

Has aff become the anti ford forums?
Seems to be a certain group of members that seem to revel in slagging off ford, falcon, and it's supporters any chance they get, and they seem to be getting more and more vocal. Yet they're still here, and members who swear get warnings? Worlds gone upside down... As alluded to earlier, the grommet isn't the issue, fords service isn't the issue, it's that muppet dowling who should be the one who's visiting the unemployment line. |

No complaining about Fords/FPVs attention to this issue from me.
Ford bloke said he'd be at my house at 09.30, he arrived at 09.15, and was gone in ten minutes... BTW this issue was only for cars built up to early August. My ute was born in July, and its grommet was fine and healthy. I had numerous calls from FPV about it and missed most of them due to working shift at the time. Ed

All this for a grommet!
Slow news day... So what happens when the grommet drops out, does it fall out of the bell housing or inside? The impression I get from the reference to 'roulette wheel' is that it falls inside the BH and gets spun around making the extra noise. If so, I assume they need to pull the box back/off of the affected cars and remove the old seal and replace it with a new one. |

It's only rubber, would have to think it would disintegrate pretty quickly.

I read Dowling's article . .The only good thing in it was those 2 pics of the Blue GTF which are now part of my screensaver . . haha.

Note the spin put on it also.. A seal is not a grommet..
Makes it sound far worse than it is..

it appears many people are jealous of those fortunate enough to purchase a GT-F

the less we go to his online articles and respond to him, the less attention he gets, isn't that better?

The incessant need of some to continually have to find fault in everything and everyone makes it obvious why the Ford Falcon had no future here.
Even in our enthusiast forum many people still can't recognise that Ford Australia have done an awesome job addressing this issue, they have not only sent letters, but they have called owners, even offered to send trucks and/or mechanics to owners homes.. FFS, it is just a rubber grommet/seal for the bell housing, not the end of the world.

Play it down all you guys like. It's cost me 100's of thousands of dollars for the last time I had a loose rubber on my bell end. Maybe you guys will be lucky.

Sadly it seems to be heading that way.

Make no mistake I'm not for defending the indefensible. And FoMoCo should be held to account. But this was a very minor glitch, and very well handled, but somehow it's all over forums and social media. It makes me wonder if it were not an orchestrated campaign.
