Here are some more Ford orientated shots.
First we have a Ford plant in India at Chennai Next we have the Ford plant on the banks of the mississippi river powered by the Hydro Electric dam you can see to the left. This plant is closing in 2008. It opened in 1925 producing the model T ford. Next up we have the Ford plant in Cologne. Complete with test track Ford plant at Cuautitlan complete with test track Ford World Headquarters at Dearborn Michigan. Built in 1956 and nicknamed the glass house due to its 13 stories of aqua green glass. Finally, Ford Airport located in dearborn, michigan. Built in 1925 it was the worlds first airport with concrete runways and also had full services for passengers like a restaurant and hotel etc.

Below is the something special. The Ford Cleveland Engine plants and casting plant. Powering alot of muscle cars we love. Next is Ford South Africa headquarters and assembly plant. I wonder if this is where those South African Fairmont GT's were built. Also a test track.

yeah i've tinkered with google earth since i think mid last year, it's a fantastic application. When i was first using it none of tassie was mapped, melbourne city wasn't mapped, hardly anything was really. It's great now with all the mapping they've added.
I use it to mark places we've had holidays too in the past, for example the Hyatt in Perth, Cabin park on the Gold Coast etc. It's also a cool application to use for planning trips and seeing what's around there before you go. It has far more applications in the states, as you can use it to look up shop addresses and so on, maybe one day that will extend to us here in Oz. The annoying thing is Melbourne is still mapped under a layer of cloud, why that map was added i'll never know. My dad used to do Aerial Photography (cartography) for the government, mapping out sites for future development, eg Scoresby Bypass (done over 20 years ago), eastern fwy, and so on, so i guess that's why i find it interesting. I should see if he's got some clearer photo's of the city to submit. Naturally you'll find some of the clearest mapping for Google Earth is over the Google Campus heh You can email your friends with a "Google Bookmark" too then all they have to do is click on the link and it will fire up google earth and take your friend to the same spot you marked. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD .KMZ GOOGLE EARTH FILE Click above to download the placemark file for the Botanical Gardens in Hobart, where my mrs and I were locked in one night on holiday, no one even checked to see if there were people still there, we walk in, had a 10 minute look, walked back to the huge iron gate to find it deadlocked haha. No after hours numbers, no numbers full stop. I rang telstra call connect and told them and they just laughed at me lol Scalling iron 'fire poker' type fences is quite a dangerous task too. Hey was a good laugh though.

This is a pic of cars in the google campus carpark. Height was 147ft. This is the highest resolution on the planet in google earth at just 1 inch per pixel. To give you an idea just %33 of the worlds population rooftops is covered by 1m/pixel res.

Another high res place in google earth. This is a pic of a beach side house. Plenty of 4x4 tracks in the sand. I'd say this is 1"/pixel res as well.
