hmm, seems I'm only a pup...

56 in a few months.

There are disadvantages to getting older but one of the things I am truly pleased about is that I was part of and will always have memories of Australia before we were dumbed down.

Hang on! I remember looking through the brochure for the new 1957 FE Holden as my dad was thinking one of them or a Vanguard. Holden Specials were special as opposed to the Holden Standard because they had indicators as standard equipment. For a few pounds more you got a heater/demister in the Vanguard. Anyway DOB 10 - 3 - 1950. That puts me in sixth place right?

This is great! An age comparison that goes by age, not by looks. See, I'm 23, but most people think I'm well past 30. Until they listen to me speak. That aside! I'm pretty sure it is the grey hairs in my beard that confuses people. Although, Bartenders have always thought me to be older. I remember getting served at 17 while my 19 year old fiance got asked for ID!

My grandmother use to give me on shilling "ten cents" every saturday night that got me into the movies, a drink at interval and a bag of hot chips after the movie to eat on the way home, we used to buy broken biscuits by the bag and ask the fruit shop for any "specs" bruised fruit, they were free on the way home from school, later on I use to fill my FJ up for around three dollars.................61
