Some of you miss the plot completely. Not everyone is a power junkie boy racer mod freak.
Why is he upgrading? What does he use the car for? I change mine every 2 years of so because I do 40-50k each year and once they hit 100,000km they lose all trade valie and also lose warranty. Mods are for people who play in their cars, if it is an integral part of your life or employment and having it broken will be a disaster only a silly person mods. I am in the same situation. My F6 now has 71k on it. Orion is still a year away. By thay time it will be 110k. Do I buy a new F6/GT-P/Force now and wait until 2009 or do I stretch untill next year? If he is a FPV man and he is wanting to upgrade right now and wants something different (and manual). a) GT-P, there are lots of demos and 06 platers about. b) F6, although manuals are rare because the autos are so much quicker on the strip. c) GT40, if you can find one. If the coming Orion is not an issue, i.e. he just likes driving an upmarket luxury car and is not a boy racer then the GT-P or F6 ordered to his exact specs will be a good solution. P.S. The main reason I sold my GT-P was I was offered good money and there was supposed to be a GTHO in early 2006. I was going to keep the GT-P until the GTHO came out. By that time it would have had about 130,000km on it. I decided to sell it and but the cheapest FPV I could (a povvo F6) and trade it as soon as the GTHO was released. I like the F6 so much that I traded it for one with all the goodies and am still driving that one (no GTHO yet ). Orion may get delayed, it may be a let down, it may be fantastic but it is not available now so do what you feel is right at the time. |
