As long as you pay the rego fees on time it really shouldn't be that hard.
I know a guy who moved permanently from the NT to NSW and kept his NT licence and rego. Just get the renewal notices sent to your folks, or someone you trust, and they can let you know how much is due.

I use to tell my secetary to Focus on her work and i will focus on the busisness. so she stuck Focus signs all over the place. maybe it is his way of telling himself to focus on where he wants to be when he retires?
