The dudes that build and ride such creative customised bikes couldn't give a rats about handling. It's not what the bikes where designed for :rolleyes: An engine, a frame and two wheels and a sh!t load of street cred is all that matters to them

Watch the show every week. Great entertainment value.
Very disappointed last nite, when they bought a Vance & Hines Pro Stock Harley in kit form and spent all day scratching their collective heads trying to assemble it. Even in their game they should know what an air-shifter or fairing is. They went down a few rungs on the ladder in my opinion. Or was it all tongue in cheek just for the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Gammaboy. OCC aren't engineers, they're "Custom Bike Builders". Yes I do like the show and yes most of the stuff they build is mightily impressive. You wanna see someone who engineers, builds and then hand crafts a 100% rideable (world class) show bike, check out Scotty's Choppers....A real Virtuoso.

Lol, amazing how ya'll can turn such a thread into an argument. It's entertaining TV, let's leave it at that?
I wasnt heaps impressed with the gillette bike... the commanche looked fantastic and the original spider man was brilliant. Will be interesting to see how the drag bike goes. Looks like the engine will fit a treat with the single tube. It's nice to see them bringin more and more stuff in house... that flowjet is an awesome piece of machinery. One thing I have wondered since bcoming a fan of the show... and it seems like y'all know a thing or two about these bikes, so.. How quick are the choppers they normally build? I mean, seems like they are pretty much impossible to ride - but really, if you put one in a straight line and went flat out, what kind of speed are you looking at? The engines are massive so i assume there must be a few ponies coming out?? PS.. getting sick of hotrod specials on Rides *yawn*

I'd say they will easily pass the 220km/h speed.
I like that show, funny parts are when they're actually building an Paul Teutul Sr. goes ape :P (they build great bikes). Bikes I like are: Jet Bike Comanche Bike Fire Bike Black Widow Bike An what's with the OCC bashing....accept it, it is a great show =) if you don't like it don't watch it. :P |

If you cant appreciate what they do maybe you can appreciate what they have done for the custom bike scene around the world and the popularity it is recieving.

Relax LFC....I said I enjoy the show. As to the link, it is a viable arguement as to the "engineers vs buiders" topic. Yes OCC is trying to change this (I believe) by bringing more work in-house. Have they completely taken over building their own frames? I know thay wanted to. Do they design their own frames as well? I know in the past they used to pass on the dimensions required and the speciallist builder would the turn that into reality if possible (or as close to). If they start doing this they will need to employ an engineer.

The bikes are built from scratch.....
They are riden more than 55mph in a straight line. These guys build great stylish bikes, what's so bad about that??

Don't know where you got your figures from but !!! 100 cube Revtech engine ( aprox 1.6 ltr ) is 105/110 hp or more depending on what type of exhaust you run 120 cube Merch engine runs around 125 hp
