Thanks Piotr.
I am not yet convinced that the rear O2 sensor is the culprit. Because the car continues to run rich, I still wonder if the front O2 sensor is working correctly. However, I am likely to have a tune/edit done to the car very soon, in which case (if it is the rear sensor) it can be "turned off" in the edit. Thanks for the thought on the MIL eliminator . I might try it anyway a see what happens ps. Thanks for the link to torquesteer. I haven't visited it for a while and it has changed significantly. Lots of goodies I'll be looking at in the next 12 months!

I hate to say it but it sounds like your cat is on it's way out what might be happening is the guts of the cat might be working it's way loose and falling out if that's the case 2 things will happen your exhaust will get louder and you'll find the power will be a bit more resposive when you put the foot down but if you get a blockage you'll find you won' have any power at all. hope that helps

dfocus, his factory cat went already and this is a brand new highflow cat with long tube headers. If you read the whole thread you would see the pictures and stuff. But thanks for your thoughts.
