So, the other day (saturday before the monty cruise) was driving along minding my own business, took a right at an intersection, booted it, revved out first (its auto) backed off and she started making a horrible ticking noise, she's well under powered, won't idle, hard to start, but no smoke and when cruising at speed limit can't hear the noise only when accelerating although i'm sure its still there, any ideas on what it may be would be appreciated
cheers Troy ps its dual fuel

Sounds like you may have broke a valve spring.
Is the ticking coming from the engine itself? |

More than likely just the spring , crow do do a replacement depending on the Ks on the motor you can just do the 1 or the lot , mine did 1 at 40000k just replaced the 1 and haven"t had a problem since and have done 100000k now

Bottledup(Dave) can send you decent replacements from WA. On know the T-Series boys have used him for the same issues.

was building the te,ts50 line in 2001 and 2002 and we were instaling to my knowledge yella terra rollers and rockers to the 220 engines and pretty sure ford had used springs from the same company. this info only helps if you want to run components that ford recomend.

Have a look and maybe get something other than crow.
I managed to break a crow spring and it took the valve with it so I'm a little wary now.
