Freakin unbelievable find. Should increase in value from here on in if you look after it.
I'm more amazed how tidy it is. I would say it's about a 8.5 out of 10.
Once I have buffed it (covered in fine wash scratchs) it will be 9.5 out of 10.
It is beautiful to drive.

Wow, $15k; and not even "real" dollars. Good pickup.

Ah gotcha. When i first got my AU I couldn't work out the gear patterns because the lockup of top is so pronounced that it appeared like a gear change.

LOL....exactly. To say its a "fifth" gear is putting a positive spin on it for sure. Its just the locking torque converter as fitted to all Falcons ( and T-Series :P ) since the electronic BTR 4-speed auto was first introduced.

Beatiful car 99Ghia. I've loved these since I first saw 012 post up pics of his black T2 many years ago. Much better looking than a T3 IMO, just a shame that didnt get the stroker as well.

One of these with a Kenne Bell kit and a decent manual box would be epic.

Congrats

Yeah as I have said I wasn't actually looking for another car,
was just doing my usual Tickford search on Trade Me and well
the rest of the story kinda tells itself. Just couldn't let it pass by
at that price.
