Default xr ute diff into wagon

as the title says,can i put a diff out of an au xr ute with the 3.45's and speedo gear into my au wagon without any mods or problems?

ok good, do i need to get a diff from the same series or are they all the same eg: brakes, are the rear brakes different from series 1 to a series 2/3? also what about abs. will i need to get a diff with abs fitted to it or will i have to change it over from my oringinal diff?thanks rob

Series 1 brakes are smaller than 2/3.
Having said that, they'll probably work ok as the rear brakes do bugger all anyway.
You'll be able to swap axles/backing plates for the ABS.

From what I've seen anywhere between $300 and $700.
