Default Linkt card

Hullo all. Regular visitor to the Territory SZ forum, but thought this more of a general question so here goes.

I live in Adelaide and have plans to drive to Sydney partly coming up the Hume Highway on my way into Sydenham. Checked in the Linkt website and it looked easy enough to create an account and link it to a credit card for the toll roads.

I then checked Product Review and I have NEVER, EVER, seen such a bad wrap for a ticketing system. I then went onto to my cars navigation system and could not find a way to set it to avoid tolls.

So my question is should I risk the toll system or just use my phone where I can easily avoid tolls? Time is not important as I am retired but fighting Linkt I can do without. Thanks for any thoughts. Jeff
