Had a card left by Australia Post at the address I am at today.
This is not my permanent address though, and even though over the past few years my drivers licence has been enough to have the parcel/letter handed over today it wasn't, they require something with THAT ADDRESS on it ![]() The card had no description of what was to be collected marked on the back, and they wouldn't give me the card back so I could reference the tracking number on the front....... So in true form I rang "complaints" ! This is the bit I found interesting. They deliver to an address, not a person ![]() Basically anyone in your front yard or who answers your door can accept anything ! So if you ever get anything sent to yourself at a relatives address whist you are visiting on holidays you will NOT be allowed to collect it ! I am sure this comes down to the "customer service representative" on the day ..................... I am not going to change my licence to an address that is not my registered address just to receive something that I have no idea what it is ! (probably a 10yo parking fine from the Sheriffs dept ) Apologies to all the Aus Post employed members here
