Club membership for club rego + hobby

Hi, I recently bought an fpv f6 typhoon bf 2006.
I was told in joining a car club I could achieve cheaper rego, and the idea of being involved with my kids seeing some great cars and learning a lot myself getting involved would be a nice experience if available.

I have had a look around forum but not sure where to start, I live in QLD, Brisbane / Logan / gold coast area. Any help would be much appreciated, thankyou.
