Hey All,
This morning I went out to start my XR and the battery was flat, so i followed the correct jump starting sequence as listed in the book and the it was still really sluggish to roll over groan groan groan tick tick tick. so i left the 2 cars connected to charge the battery went to start it again and it let out a huge bang and an electrical smell from under the car. I checked the dash and the lights were still on, i instantly thought computer but there was no electrical burnt smell in the car or near the computer and all the readings etc are comming up so that appears fine. The car tries to start but only tick tick tick tick no cranking anymore. Can i assume that my starter motor has for some reason blown up? i checked the fuses but nothing has blown. Why would the starter motor blow up? Cheers |
