Default Allan Moffat caught with new Coyote FPV

Great find by Caradvice. Article and pics here:

Allan Moffat spied testing FPV Coyote V8

When photographer Joel Strickland was out on a Sunday drive, the last thing he was expecting to see was Ford racing legend Allan Moffat. Let alone seeing Mr Moffat behind the wheel of Ford’s yet to be released FPV GT with the all new 5.0-litre supercharged ‘Coyote’ V8 engine.

As CarAdvice exclusively revealed in May, 2009, Ford is hard at work engineering a supercharged version of the all new 5.0-litre Coyote V8 seen fitted to the new Mustang.

These latest photographs show that the project is nearing completion, with the engine fitted to a production ready FPV GT.

While the higher-performance GT-H is set to feature air-inlets on the front bumper bar, these pictures reveal a more sedate look for the GT version. Minor styling changes are likely before the car is revealed at this year’s Sydney International Motor Show.

Quad exhaust pipes will also feature across the FPV range, giving the new supercharged engines added bark to match their bite.

As CarAdvice reported earlier, power is expected to head north to 330kW for the supercharged V8 GT, matching the offering from HSV.

CarAdvice will keep you posted as more information comes to hand.
