Okie dokie guys - Had the filter in now for about 1000kms now, and still extremely happy with it. Im now just worried about 2 things, heat soak, as mentioned by everyone, as well as the fact of it being illegal.

I have been looking at every forum known to mat, including xr5turbo.com (even though mines missing a cylinder :P) and cant find much info on my best bet. I have seen people make home jobs out of tin sheeting, but I want it to look good still.

I came across this on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT
but its just a shield, so will apparently stop the heat soak, but will still be illegal. I still have to measure my filter to make sure this will fit, but wanted to get your guys opinions on how I could modify this to have the filter fully enclosed.

Thanks in advance for the replies!
