Minispool In XR8

i have a minispool at home that fits my au xr8 diff. I was gonna get my 4.11 diff gears fitted and the lsd shimmed next week, but after talking to a mechanic from ford, i have contemplated fitting the spool for better take off and corner grip. I wanted my car to be able to handle good and be used for mostly circuit racing and drags. has anyone put a minispool in or does anyone know if it handles better or worse with it in.
