I had an NRMA end of warranty inspecton today. Cost was $199.00. Car has 93,500k's
Mate am I happy, the work that ford will cary out as a result (yes this has been confirmed with the dealer): 1. All Brake calipers lose causing rattle noise - WARRANTY 2. Centre rear differencial mount worn- WARRANTY (requires the diff to be removed) 3. Power steer high pressure hose weeping (will be repleaced) - WARRANTY 4. Both rear shocks and rubbers - R&R WARRANTY 5. All Rose joints in rear suspension- R&R WARRANTY 6. Both front shock absorbers and rubers -R&R WARRANTY 7. Right front seat foam collapsing -R&R WARRANTY 8. Right front seat skin stitching (replace seat skin) - WARRANTY 9. Left front seat skin stsiching (replace seat skin) - WARRANTY 10. Engine oil leak between engine and bell housing - WARRANTY 11. Engine oil leak at front of sump - WARRANTY The report in light of the work was cheap and carries significant weight with the dealer. The only item under contention is the front disc rotors. They have heat fractures all round. Ford suggest they are not covered due to the K's (93,500) I am challenging that and expect them to make good on a remove and replace basis. I have Ford coming back to me first thing tomorrow with an answer. (The car is only 18 months old) I will have the follow up inspection after a few thousand k's and will ensure work has been completed. Cost is apparently only $22 for follow up. Cant suggest this enough for cars going out of warranty.
