headlights dim as it changes down

Hey fellas
When my front lights are on and im slowing down(say for traffic lights) and the tranny is changing back down,have you seen anything where the lights dim for a moment like a voltage drop?
I know the tranny uses power but does it use a fair bit to cause this or is it normal and i'm worring about ****** all?
Its a 4L vct auto.
