Default Brakes and rotors

last week in Innisfail i ran over a roofing screw (damn innisfail and cyclone larry) it took over night for me to notice my tire was flat...anyways got it fixed $15.....when i was changing my tires i notice alot of rusting going on and the front rotor was shiny really smooth is this bad? time for an upgrade?
