Well a new Old home :P
I have been made an offer too good to refuse ........ Not many houses that are like this these days :p The offer is as thus : A huge 12 room home on acres (not 12 bedrooms silly... 12 rooms in all :P ) Free rent till Xmas, then only $40 after that to cover power. (this is negotable on how much more needs doing to the house) Anything I need to restore home I only have to ask for. (incl. paint, floor coverings, etc.) Road to home is on black soil .... didnt I have fun the other day in the wagon :p only bogged once & I got out without assistace :P ...... Road is having ~1k spent on it so its all weather road. (wagon is looking even more worse for ware atm :P ) Not a bad offer I thought ........ now for the down sides....... There seems to be a Spook in the house :P ... am fixing that by getting the local white witch to come over on Monday : The house hasnt been lived in for about 2yrs & is very very run down ....... and filthy............. Am thinking as its school holidays we an clean & paint before we get in there ........ So the real reason for my post ........ Does anyone know of any good sites that show heritage type colours for paint ????????? Im thinking a good lick of paint as well as the other badly needed cleaning and Spook removal & this will be a great place to live ;) |

Sounds like a great deal - even with the spook.. You could have a look around http://www.oldhouses.com.au/ for some ideas.

This is VIP. Sandalwood is used as a protective oil and can be worn on the body as a deterrent to danger and sadness. It has been used for centuries as a protector of the heart (and is used over the heart in the shape of a cross). Tell us how it goes with the witch, I'm curious!

Its freaking the kids a bit .... the eldest 2 got bad vibes ... they have NEVER heard me talking of this sort of stuff & they couldnt place the feeling ..... I knew ... but Ive lived with a few friendlies before :P Will let you all know how we go on Monday ....... |

Tell the spook he is up for quarter share of the rent! Shape up or ship out..
I believe original Brock Energy Polarisers are excellant at removing spooks and even witches. Though they can take time for full effect, they will be far more effective than oil of Sandlewood or eye of newt. Brocky got his EP back out and the witch dissapeared, bye Bev we'lll miss the tyre adds, honest we will. Red shakes his head and pours a dram of spirit from a tall bottle and ponders the things people actually believe. :evilsasmo |

Sounds like you have a good deal going there Lisa.
As for heritage colours, it depends on the type of house ie. Colonial, Victorian, Federation etc. You can have a look at this site too for ideas: http://www.heritagepaints.com.au/index.htm As for your spook, just get the eldest two that are freaking out a little (or maybe alot : ), to have a look around for 'spiritual cleansing' on Google. I use the white light method and it's always worked. If they can't do it, you can do it for them. Gotta love those little extras that come with the house. :hihi:

The reason for the move is simple ..... The current landlord wont spend any money on this place & the wiring is dicky ..... My sisters house burnt to the ground due to old wiring & this is not something Im willing to risk...... I dont pay rent here either but do pay for power & the eldest mows the landlord lawns as rental payment.......
So I will be paying a lot less eg. no power ...... and the fact that Im getting open slather on restoration is getting me a little excited :P Damo .... I know why I live in the Middle of Nowhere ..... couuld you handle it ?????? nearest little town will be 20k's from here & nearest major town is about 120k's :P |

Important question does it have phone and internet service?
Colors, well most main Paint providers that have web sites should get you started.

Casper has urgently requested that Oil of Sandelwood and other ghost removal measures are not used, and at the very least that hands are thoroughly washed before returning to the forums. Thankyou for your assistance.

Essential Oils work, believe me. And one oil in particular is better than any deep heat or equivalent on the planet for natural and effective muscular ache/pain relief.

I suppose I'm a bit sensitive cos recently on a new forum I found (nothing to do with cars), I opened my mouth and said something that others took the wrong way. I was flamed to within an inch of my life. So... I've got to find my sense of humour somewhere, cos it's like that forum took it right out of me. Grrrrr!

Lisa;if the wiring in your old place is dodgy...whats to say that the new one is'nt.
As for the exorcism..depends on whether their friendly or not...try and find out first. One final point....the grass is not always greener on the other side.
