oik i just flushed and refilled my radiator, and changed my oil, after letting my car runf or a few minutes and waitied for it to heat up and rechekd the levels of everything, i turned it back on as i was about to go out, and the thermpo fan kicked in. It was that loud it was hard to talk since i was around the front of my car.
i took out the thermo fan when i did the radiator flush, and i recheked the wireing and everythign was plugged in corretly. can any one help ? i dont know if it was becaue it was the first time it had new coolant in it or what, i hope someone as an answer or something i can try, im yet to warm up the car again to see if it is as loud again, coz i dont want any problems to come from the car overheating. Also when the fan was loud i checked the temp guage it was in between cold and normal. thanks brad` |

The fans will often come on after the car has been hot and then let sit for a while. The heat soaks from the engine into the water while it is sitting.
Then this hot water hits the temp sensors when you start the engine and it activates the fans. So long as they turn back to low speed after a while or when you drive all is OK If they dont turn off you could have an air lock, common after a refill Turn heater knob to red and go for a short drive with the radiator cap not sealed tightly and the air should bubble out by itself |
