Hey guys,
The eldest has just picked up a job at the mines continuing his diesel fitter apprenticeship. Were just wondering if anyone lives down there & might have a spare room for him when he's on shift. He would be coming home for his 4 days off. If you can help or even know of someone looking for a roomy please let me know ASAP ;) He starts next Monday |

Thanks Blueprint. I had thought of Pm'ing those I knew of down there but then thought this thread might be enough if they know of anything.
Failing this he will have to stay at a pub till he finds something, dont think he will mind that though :P |

Yup he knows..... told him to buy some nice thick thermals :P
At least he will only be down there for the days he works and as he said when he's working it heats up pretty quickly. |

As far as we can tell he will be surface. He's actually being hired by Komatsu but working on site so the best of both worlds I think.
Are you still there macca?? Is there any handy hints you may have about living there ?? We are only 3hours away so he will be coming home for days off but Im assuming an 18yr old boy can have all sorts of fun down there :P |

No I didn't stay long the boss and I didn't see eye to eye so headed back up north.
Don't know what it's like now but when I was there it was a great place to be for a single bloke : . Plus Bathurst is just down the road. |

Coolies macca, There are a couple of share accommodation adverts in the local paper & he will be checking them out when he gets down there.
Here's hoping they are nice people :P |
