How much alcohol can you legaly bring into indonesia?
does anyone know this or where I can find the info (preferably withing the next 4 hrs - then I go home from work...) I am heading off tomorrow. |

Seriously, I wouldn't take any in. Just needs one official to over-react and you're gone. Be very squeeky clean, us Aussies are on the nose over there. Make sure your bags are triple shrink wrapped too.

I'd look at the Indonesian customs website over anyone elses word. Anyway, its cheap over there, just buy some over there.

You can buy most sorts of booze over there quite cheaply. They make God's own beer (Bintang) there, at around $1 AUD a tallie, last time I was there.
Wine is expensive there and generally really nasty Californian whites. Wine is about the only thing I'd bother taking in.

BTW any spirits you buy over there will be at about a 30% premium on what we pay here... I saw smirnov vodka at about $40 per 700mL - cant remember much else exactly last year although i was alarmed at the price of johnnie walker red as well.
