i have purchased some ultra low king springs for the rear and super low kings for the front of my AU2 XR8. i was wondering if it will be okay to put these in without a camber adustable kit. i dont have the funds to buy the camber kit now and i was probably gonna buy one in 3 weeks and putting it in then. will my car be okay without the kit for 3 weeks?

yep, it'll just make the camber a bit stuffed for the time being. the only real problem you get is undue tyre wear, but unless you're gonna do about 10000km in 3 weeks i'd say you'll be fine.

Cause its an XR you "should" be ok as there is more room to shim up the factory camber kit. Just have a talk with a few suspension places to make sure.

You shouldn't need a camber kit, but if you do i got a full kit if you're keen.

Definatly get a camber kit otherwise you will go through tyres very fast, and for the price, its cheaper to fit the camber kit than to keep changing stuffed tyres...
Mine has SSL's in the front, and was -4 degrees out camber wise after lowering it, and all good after the camber kit, never worn a tyre unevenly. |

You will definately need a camber kit. Mine is on Herrod SL's and I chew out the inside of tyres something shocking, that and the they can't be adjusted properly the way it is either.

Just purchased an AUII Fairmont Ghia 4L that's been lowered with some King springs. Hoping XR6007 can tell me more about the IRS shocks for $50?

the car has stock springs but the car looks lower then other au xr8's. if it did have standard height shocks i would be happy if they could last about 5000k's so i could save up for some koni shocks.

Shocks have a serviceable life of 60000km; 80000km at most. So if yours are close to that, then I'd replace them while you are getting the springs in (saves on labour).

when i fitted my SL kings ied bought the camber kit and fitted it all at the same time only to find out i didnt need to fit the camber kit, there was enough room to fit the shims to take up the change in camber in the factory shim mounts!
after you fit the springs go and get the wheel alignment check, asuming the front end is in good nic, ill bet youll find you wont need the camber kit fitted, good luck, Gonz.
