Default Beer V Pre-Mixers

Hey guys. Since we are living in a Fat society, I was having a discussion with someone at work as to which is worse for your wasteline...... the sugary pre-mixers like Jbeam and Cola, Vodka Cruisers etc..... or Beer.

I was of the opinion the pre-mixers were worse as they contain a lot of sugar, but he said the yeast in the beer is worse as it makes you fat.

So just after you guys opinions??

Drink both, and couldn't care less about how unhealthy it is. Beer is definately worse though, well noticeably worse.

Drink Blonde. Taste good enough and low on the carbs. Or you could mix your drinks yourself and go with the spirits way less sugar in the non premixed.

Im usually pretty keen to drink anything. Am a huge fan of beer, but dont mind the occasional Jimmy and coke.

I just thought surely all the sugar would be worse, but yeah i guess a trip to the pub does give the verdict.

beer gut isnt just from beer any alcohol will do it.
when your body is given that much alcohol and your liver starts wasting away this is how you get the beer gut. what happens is your abdominal fat stores is recruited to hold the fat to support your rotting liver and insides. thats why this mainly happens to older drinkers as you know their liver aint in good shape.

Now mixing it up between the two types isn't always great too. Bad hangovers!
Had a ripper of one today.

My missus was on weightwatchers for a bit and I had a look at how they stacked up in the weightwatches 'points' systems (Ie certain amounts of foods contain 'x' amount of points per 'x' amount of weight, usually based on kilojoules contained and the amount of saturated fat, but it can get a bit more complex than that)

the results were -
2 points for a full strenght beer (375 bottle)
2 points for burbon and coke (I think it was 375ml can of jim beam)

So they were the same! (bulleits got something like 3points though)

However wine was the best at something like 1 point per 1.5 std drinks - so if you want to get drunk and not gain as much weight - get on the wine (I will stick to B & C)

Kilojoules is all that counts sugar, carbs etc is all bollocks to sell books when it comes to weight.
If you expend more then you intake you lose weight & vise versa it's really quiet simple even if keeping to it mightn't be.
